Can you believe the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier has been on the Virginia Beach seashore since 1950? Sam Lachman opened up a snack bar for beach visitors and fishermen. The little resort town of Virginia Beach was smaller and quieter then.  In the 1970's and 80's, Ocean Eddies became a fun and loud bar with great bands with names like Proffitt and Snard.  Betty Lachman Tucker, Sam's daughter and her husband Biggie, made OES one of the best locations for great food and fun. Today, Biggie's grandson, Baxter is the chef. Baxter offers fresh seafood dishes to delight any appetite. He uses locally farm-raised soft shells when in season, oysters from the Lynnhaven River, Virginia beef for the delicious burgers, and the freshest fish he can find.  Ocean Eddies brings the ocean to your table. Come visit us!

Ocean Eddies is proud to be part of the Virginia Beach Restaurant Association and the Atlantic Avenue Association. We also give back to our watershed. We donate all of our oyster shells to the Lynnhaven River Now oyster shell replenishment program. We are also participating in the Skip the Straw Movement! Read about that here.
